The
Big Cheese festival was held at Caerphilly Castle between 23rd - 25th
of July. The parent Network was there on Sunday 25th - thanks to all those
people who visited our stand.

FIRST INFORMATION
Communities
First is a Welsh Assembly Government Initiative to improve life in the
most deprived areas of Wales.
In
Caerphilly County Borough, the Communities First areas are:

First focuses on what the community needs and this is discussed in local
Community Partnerships made up from local residents and organisations.
It
is important that there is sufficient local participation to ensure that
local need, problems and opportunities are identified.

*Children's
Information Service*
The
Children's Information Service (CIS) was officially launched on May 5th
at Caerphilly Castle. The launch was attended by the Children's Commissioner,
Peter Clarke and children from local playgroups came along and participated
in play activities relating to the medieval theme of the day. The launch
of the CIS website also took place at the same time and more information
can found on www.caerphilly.gov.uk/cis and information on childcare can
also be obtained on the Children's Information Service (CIS) Helpline,
01443 863232.
